Belgium Wedding Handkerchief
One of the beautiful Belgium wedding traditions is the “wedding handkerchief”.
The handkerchief is embroidered with the bride’s name and given to her by the last female in that family who got married. After the bride is married, she is to frame the handkerchief in a place of honor until the next female marries.
When the next female marries, the bride’s name is embroidered on it and the handkerchief is given to her on her wedding day. As the years go by, it has become a beautiful family heirloom.
