Free Marketing Ideas that will close you more sales

Free Marketing Ideas that will close you more sales

Who doesn’t like more sales? More clients mean more profit and there isn’t a single person in this world who doesn’t like higher revenues. OK, so how do you actually get more clients reaching out to you if you are planning on getting a share from the bridal market?

Here at Her Wedding Planner we believe that every wedding business should have higher quality advertisements just because it’s uncommon for couples to flock to your services without learning more about your marketing strategies. Obviously the best way to get in front of over 30,000 brides is to advertise on our site but while you are thinking about it there are few other free options you can consider. Here we are supposing that you already own a website that looks and sounds professional. Having an online presence is as important as having a physical store but here we won’t go into more detail about that just because websites cost money (but are definitely a worthwhile investment).

Can you imagine how much traction you can get if every person you know or every client you have worked with sends all his/hers friends that are getting married your way? Moreover, imagine waking up as #1 on Google Search for your desired keyword. The best part – You don’t have to spend a dime on these marketing tactics. Check out our list below:

1.    List on Google Business Pages

The first free tip we have for you is to put your listing on Google Business. This is important if you wish to show up in the local listings and to start getting reviews. Make sure that you fill out your profile fully and include some images as well as they will sometimes show up when people search for local businesses.

The reason why you should cosider this is that Google Is now giving priority to organic search results that do have listings registered with them. What is great about this tactic is that it is entirely free and it’s a great way to improve your chances of ranking better.

2.    Make good use of Social Media

Social Media sites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat any many others are the perfect channels that you can use for interacting with your potential or existing customers regularly. They are all great platforms for keeping your leads engaged while they are still not ready to buy from you and you know that in the bridal businesses today’s bridesmaids are future brides, so make sure that you impress them.

However, we don’t recommend having a profile on all of these social media sites. The best way to use their potential is to have 2-3 profiles and get really engaged with the community there. Post regularly, respond to people’s comments, messages and search for co-op opportunities.

The downside of this strategy is that social media channels can be very distracting so when you go in to publish a post on any of them you might end up watching funny crashes and forgetting about why you came there in the first place. If this happens to you a lot, you should consider an automated posting service.

3.    Blog as often as you can

Having a blog on your site about your bridal business with closely related topics that might interest your potential clients is also an important feature to have if you want your website to be found and to rank better on Google. Fresh content on your site tells search engines that your website is active so they will check it more frequently.  It’s also a great way to show brides that you have been busy working which is great as a psychological trigger for potential customers to buy.

Apart from blogging about your latest projects you should also consider writing about tips and recommendations for brides. For example if you are a photographer you can write about which reception venues should a bride choose she wants to have photos with better lighting.

Another important thing to note here is that you should compile a list of important keywords that you want your site to rank on and use those words in your blogs. Also, a good thing to have is a site that is optimized for search engines so they can understand your blog and your site in general and only show it to the people who are most likely to purchase a product from you.

4.    Start building an email list

Are you offering your website visitors the option to subscribe to your news, blogs, promotions etc? Brides who subscribe and who opt-in are the most valuable assets you can have in terms of sales. They just need the extra push. The beauty of subscribers is that these people already like your businesses so much that they are willing to give you their email so you can send them your latest info and we personally believe that is priceless.

Whether you need to pitch them a recently created product, you want to offer a promotion or you simply want to tell them about your most recent blog post there are plenty of free online programs that will help you. Mailchimp is one of them.

5.    Run a contest or a promotion

This tip highly complements the previous one. A contest or a promo will really help your business get out there and increase your visibility. The channel that you use to put your message is not that important. You might choose to run it only to your subscribers, your blog or you might want to use social media. From our experience it is best to use all of the above. Actually we have had great response from brides for our vendor contests that we ran on our wedding websites and social media pages. The combo is just perfect.
