You know the big day is approaching by the thrill you get every time you think about it. No, we’re not talking about the wedding day. We’re talking about the registry checklist day. It’s the day you have to finally sit down and put on paper (or in an .xls file) all those items you’ve dreamt about when envisioning your perfect home.
We will make it easier for you by giving you the basics of every wedding registry checklist, so that you don’t end up with 3 China sets and no bedding sheets:
A nice set of towels with matching bathrobes will make you feel you are in a spa while using your bathroom, while a soap dish/toothbrush holder set will be an accent worth looking at (being the first thing you set your eyes on in the morning).
The bedroom is all about textiles – a stylish bedding set with a matching blanket and duvet cover, some complementing pillows and pillow cases and you’re all set!
You can really set your imagination free here as you need it all – serving utensils, cups, saucers, glasses, placemats, tablecloths, trays, silverware, knives… The sky is the limit!
Kitchen is the space with the most versatile present options when it comes to budget. You can include some not so pricy essentials like baking sheets, cutting boards, and salt&pepper sets that would suit your guests on a budget and then add a nice blender (or a food processor), a coffee maker and some professional pans for those of your guests that are willing to spend more money. And never (ever) underestimate a quality set of knives!
If you have more rooms in your house, make sure to add them here as well.
Don’t forget the different seasons and the holidays, accompanying them as they all require their specific accessories, and make sure to include items in different price ranges so that all your guests will feel comfortable choosing the best present for your wedding. And remember, the bigger choice your guests have, the happier you’ll be with the results!
So, open a glass of wine, load your favorite wedding comedy and let the registry check begin!
